A woman and her paramour were sentenced to life imprisonment for murder.
Selvakumar (28), a resident of Uppukinaru near Karuppur, was a granite company worker. He went missing on November 10, 2018, and his body was found in a farm well in the same locality on November 18. The Karuppur police registered a case and investigated. Investigations revealed that Selvakumar’s wife, Ishwarya (26), and her paramour, Ravi (28), a resident of Mettupathi, had beaten Selvakumar to death and dumped the body in the well. The police arrested the duo.
The case trial was held at Additional Sessions Court II, and on Friday, the court found the accused guilty and awarded life imprisonment for the duo, along with a fine of ₹15,000.
