Two employees of the Nizamabad Municipal Corporation were caught by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Monday for accepting a bribe of ₹15,000 to process documents related to the pension of the complainant’s mother.
The accused were identified as Palda Ashok, a junior assistant in the Establishment Section, and Kalakuntla Kiran Kumar, an outsourced employee working in the Audit Section of the municipal corporation.
According to the ACB, the two were caught around 11.18 a.m. at Padmashali Sangam in Seetharamnagar Colony, near Raja Rajendra Chowrastha in Nizamabad.
The duo allegedly demanded and accepted ₹15,000 from the complainant for preparing increment proceedings and making necessary entries and other details in the service book of the complainant’s mother for sanctioning her monthly pension.
The identity of the complainant has been withheld. The ACB said both accused were being arrested and produced before the II Additional Special Judge for SPE and ACB cases at Nampally in Hyderabad. Further investigation is underway.
