Two persons were killed after a truck hit a two-wheeler near Keelkattalai on Wednesday (January 21, 2026).
A senior official from the Tambaram Police Commissioner’s office said the truck, carrying stone gravel, was proceeding from Pallavaram towards Keelkattalai. As it was turning left at the Eechankadu junction, the heavy vehicle hit a two-wheeler coming from the opposite direction. In the accident, both persons on the two-wheeler – Gokulraj and Tanay Mondal of Madipakkam – were thrown off the vehicle and crushed to death on the spot.
The Pallikaranai Traffic Investigation Police, on being alerted about the accident, sent the bodies to the Tambaram Government Hospital for post-mortem.
The traffic police arrested the truck driver and are investigating the case.
