Minister for Backward Classes Welfare and Kannada and Culture Shivaraj Tangadagi on Friday, said steps will be taken to construct two additional hostels for the students of Dr. G. Shankar Government Women’s First Grade College and Pos-Graduduate Study Centre, Ajjarkad, Udupi.
Addressing students during his visit to the College, the Minister urged them to focus on their studies and strive for academic excellence. He said the State government had sanctioned ₹32,000 crore for various development works across three coastal districts, underscoring its commitment to development.
Former Minister Vinay Kumar Sorake, Roshan Kumar Shetty, Assistant Director of the Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports, Udupi district, college principal Nikethana, Student Welfare Officer Rajendra K., IQAC coordinator Shreemathi Adiga and others were present.
