The 20th edition of Udyog Utsav 2026, organised by the Avtar Human Capital Trust (AHCT) under its initiative Project Puthri, was held on Saturday.
According to a press release, Project Puthri aims at equipping girls from underserved communities with the skills and exposure needed to pursue higher education and careers. The conference brought together leaders from the education and industry sectors to guide help schoolgirls on career possibilities.
Saundarya Rajesh, Managing Director of Avtar Career Creators Limited and Managing Trustee of Avtar Human Capital Trust, said, “A girl can’t choose a future she has never had the chance to see. For our Puthri scholars, Udyog Utsav is that first glimpse of what could be possible. When they meet professionals and hear about careers, they start to see themselves differently; they begin to believe that the world of work has a place for them too.”
The conference, held at Guru Nanak Educational Society, featured addresses by Remadevi Thotathil, CHRO, Latentview Analytics and K.R. Sriram, vice-president – Head of Automation Corporate IT, Worldline, among others.
The scholars got to visit corporate and institutional stalls, which allowed them to engage directly with organisations and institutions, and learn more about different educational and career pathways.
