A high-level interaction between leading UK school groups and senior officials of the State government was held under the aegis of the UK High Commission here on Friday.
The meeting saw participation of key government officials and representatives from reputed UK school managements, including CEOs and heads of commercial partnerships, who learned and appreciated the State’s new initiatives in the school education system.
Director of School Education department E. Naveen Nicolas presented an overview of the procedures for school permissions and obtaining no-objection certificates for CBSE, ICSE, IB and Cambridge affiliations. While Additional Director K. Lingaiah demonstrated the State’s online portal for efficient and transparent approvals, GHMC Commissioner (Cyberabad) G. Srijana highlighted building safety standards and unified compliance mechanisms for schools.
In the meeting, Future City Development Authority commissioner K. Shashanka shared the vision of Bharat Future City, emphasising thematic clusters and the Young India Sports University, and invited UK institutions to establish their campuses. Mr. Shashanka said Telangana was committed to a transparent, investor-friendly ecosystem and world-class educational infrastructure, in accordance with ‘Vision 2047’.
