Union Minister of State for Labour and Employment and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Shobha Karandlaje visited the Sri Durga Malleswara Swamyvarla Devasthanam atop Indrakeeladri in Vijayawada on Tuesday and offered special prayers to the presiding deity Kanaka Durga.
On her arrival at the temple, the Union Minister was accorded a warm reception by temple officials and priests. She later proceeded to the hill shrine for darshan and performed special rituals, seeking the blessings of the Goddess. Local Bharatiya Janata Party leaders, public representatives and officials accompanied her during the visit. After the darshan, Vedic scholars offered blessings to the Minister and presented her with temple prasadam and a portrait of the Goddess. The visit was conducted smoothly with coordinated arrangements by the temple authorities, as devotees gathered to witness the occasion.
