Former Chairman of the Legislative Council and KPCC vice-president V.R. Sudarshan has urged the State government to appoint deserving party leaders to various public sector boards as non-official directors without further delay.

In a letter to the Chief Minister, the Congress leader suggested to Siddaramaiah to consider the names recommended by the committee headed by Home Minister G. Parameshwara for various government-owned boards and corporations.

He has also drawn the attention of the Chief Minister to the nomination of party cadres, proposed by legislators, MPs, DCC chiefs and senior leaders of the party, to various public sector undertakings as non-official directors on the boards.

Mr. Sudarshan said, “We are also happy to note that you will become the longest-serving Chief Minister of the State from January 7, 2026.”

In a letter to Deputy Chief Minister and KPCC chief D.K. Shivakumar, Mr. Sudarshan urged him to convene a meeting of KPCC office-bearers and the executive committee to discuss the political scenario in the State and the implementation of various policies and programmes of the government.
