The water level in Papanasam dam on Sunday stood at 49.65 feet (the maximum level is 143 feet) with an inflow of 69.93 cusecs and a discharge of 604.75 cusecs. The level in Manimuthar dam stood at 59.68 feet (118 feet) with an inflow of 10.95 cusecs and a discharge of 75 cusecs.
The rainfall recorded in Tirunelveli district ending at 6 a.m on Sunday is as follows (in mm): Kakkachi 8, Nalumukku 17 and Oothu 14.
