A 24-year-old woman died after she slipped and fell off the 24th floor of a high-rise residential building in Seethammadhara on Wednesday evening.
The victim has been identified as Sivani, police said on Thursday..
According to preliminary investigations, the incident occurred when the woman was reportedly drying clothes on the balcony of the apartment. She is believed to have lost her balance and slipped, falling off the 24th floor of the building.
The police rushed to the spot and shifted the body for a post-mortem examination. A case has been registered. Investigation is underway to ascertain the exact sequence of events leading to the fatal incident.
