Marking International Labour Day, thousands of workers took out a rally from Town Hall to Freedom Park.
All central trade unions, including INTUC, AITUC, CITU, HMA, AIUTUC, TUCC, AICCTU, HMKP, KIEF, and NCL, and employees’ unions from the banking, insurance, and other sectors took part in the march and the public meeting, during which outrage was expressed against the delay in the revision of minimum wages in Karnataka, and demands were made to revoke the labour codes.
