The third edition of the World Health Innovation Forum 2025 commenced on Friday at the Andhra Pradesh Medtech Zone (AMTZ) in Visakhapatnam, marking a significant milestone in advancing global healthcare innovations. The three-day event with themes for each day Day-1— Ignite, Day-2— Transform, Day-3— Sustain, aims to showcase groundbreaking developments and foster international collaborations to shape the future of health technology.
A key highlight of the forum was the launch of the Global MedTech Expo 2025, an extensive platform featuring numerous stalls representing cutting-edge medical technology, medtech startups, and innovative healthcare solutions.
The opening ceremony drew more than 2000+ attendees and featured addresses by speakers — Ms. Louise Agersnap (Head of the World Health Organization’s Innovation Hub in Geneva), Dr. Ravi Ramamurthy (University Distinguished Professor of International Business, and Director, Center for Emerging Markets in Northeastern University), Dr Nico Schittekae (Counsellor for Health, Welfare & Sport at Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in India) and Dr. Issa (Director, Hospital Albert Royer, Senegal) and Dr. Jitendra Sharma (Managing Director and CEO of AMTZ).
