Youth dies after falling from train in Salem

A 22-year-old youth died after he reportedly fell from a running train on Monday. R. Abishraj, a resident of Kanniyakumari district, was pursuing B.Sc. Nursing at a private college in Karnataka. On Sunday night, he headed for Karnataka on the Nagercoil-Bengaluru Express with his friends. In the early hours of Monday, when the train reached Mallur in the Salem district, Abishraj, who was near the door, accidentally fell from the train and died on the spot, according to police. An investigation is under way.
