The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) on Wednesday announced a Statewide agitation against the alleged irregularities in the DSC-2025 teacher recruitment process, demanding a CBI inquiry and the resignation of Education Minister Nara Lokesh.
Addressing a press conference, YSRCP Krishna district president and former Minister Perni Venkatramaiah (Nani) announced a phased programme of protests. It includes submitting representations to District Collectors on July 31, Town Hall meetings in all Assembly constituencies on August 3 and 4, relay hunger strikes from August 6 to 9, and constituency-level rallies across the State on August 10. He said the party would intensify the agitation if the government failed to respond.
Mr. Perni Nani alleged large-scale irregularities in the recruitment process, claiming that confidential examination-related work, including uploading question papers and digitisation, had been entrusted to outsourcing employees. He alleged that one such employee had emerged as a district topper before the appointment was cancelled and the merit list revised. He also questioned the non-publication of district-wise merit lists at the Collectorates and alleged irregularities in appointments made under the Sports Quota.
He demanded a CBI inquiry into the recruitment process, the resignation of Mr. Lokesh, release of pending fee reimbursement dues, implementation of the promised unemployment allowance, and justice for DSC aspirants.
