Senior Congress leaders, ministers, and party workers paid rich tributes to former Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, on the occasion of his birth anniversary, in Hyderabad on Tuesday (July 8, 2025).
Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president and MLC Mahesh Kumar Goud, Ministers Ponnam Prabhakar and Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, MLAs, MLCs, senior Congress leaders including K.V.P. Ramachandra Rao paid tributes to YSR at his statue in Panjagutta and later at the Gandhi Bhavan in Nampally to honour his memory.
Floral tributes were offered, recalling his legacy as a pro-people leader who left an indelible mark on Telangana and Andhra Pradesh politics.

Prominent attendees included former Chief Minister of Pondicherry V. Narayana Swamy, AICC secretary Viswanathan, MLAs Danam Nagender and Sri Ganesh, MLCs Addanki Dayakar and Balamuri Venkat, and former MP Anjan Kumar Yadav.
The event was marked by emotional recollection of YSR’s contributions to agriculture, healthcare, and welfare schemes that benefitted millions.
As part of the commemorative programmes, the TPCC president presided over a clothes and sweets distribution drive.
