Three government officials posted at the National Investment and Manufacturing Zone (NIMZ) in Zaheerabad, Sangareddy district, were arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Thursday (July 10, 2025) for demanding and accepting a bribe of ₹15,000 from a complainant.

The accused, identified as Special Deputy Collector (Land Acquisition) Raja Reddy, Deputy Tahsildar Satish, and driver Durgaiah, were caught by the ACB Medak unit. According to officials, the bribe was demanded in exchange for processing and forwarding the land acquisition file of the complainant, who had received a compensation cheque of ₹52.87 lakh for land acquired at Huselli village under NIMZ.

Investigators said Raja Reddy had initially demanded ₹50,000 while Satish asked for ₹15,000 as a reward for moving the file forward. The tainted cash was recovered from Satish, and a chemical test confirmed traces of the bribe on his fingers and trouser pocket. The third accused, driver Durgaiah, allegedly demanded ₹1,00,000 to help the complainant’s specially abled brother with a pending matter involving senior officials.

All three officers were arrested and produced before the special court for SPE and ACB cases in Nampally. Further investigation is underway.

The ACB has urged citizens to report any demand for bribes by public servants by dialling their toll-free number 1064 or through WhatsApp, Facebook, or X (formerly Twitter). The identity of complainants will be kept confidential.
