The Centre has appointed 1991 batch AGMUT cadre IAS officer Puneet Kumar Goel as the new Chief Secretary in Manipur on Wednesday (July 16, 2025), according to an order of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Mr. Goel replaces Prashant Kumar Singh who belongs to 1993 batch of the Manipur cadre. Subsequently Mr. Singh has been appointed as Secretary, National Commission for Scheduled Tribes.
Mr. Singh was appointed as Chief Secretary of Manipur in January this year.
