Actor Tanushree Dutta, known for her role in Aashiq Banaya Aapne, has alleged that she is being harassed in her own home. In a series of emotional videos shared on Instagram, the actor claimed she has been facing disturbing incidents including loud noises, theft, and door banging outside her residence.
In the first video, Dutta appeared visibly distressed and said, âI am being harassed in my own house. I just called the cops and they have asked me to come to the police station to lodge a proper complaint. I am not well. I have been harassed so much in the past five years that I have fallen sick.â She added that chronic stress has led her to develop chronic fatigue syndrome, significantly impacting her daily life and work.
In a follow-up post, she described persistent loud noises and banging outside her home since 2020, claiming the building management had failed to address the issue. âNow I just live with it and put headphones with mantras to distract my mind and keep my sanity,â she wrote.
Dutta further alleged that domestic help hired at her residence had been manipulated into harassing her. She recounted incidents of theft and suspected tampering with her drinking water, saying she had once caught a maid making suspicious phone calls before entering her home.
The actor has previously spoken about being harassed during travel and hotel stays, linking those experiences to her public accusation of sexual harassment against Nana Patekar in 2018, which played a key role in initiating Indiaâs MeToo movement. She also accused filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri of inappropriate behaviour.
Dutta stated she intends to file an FIR outlining the incidents. Authorities have reportedly advised her to visit the police station to register a formal complaint.
