Three held for beating man to death following a brawl 

Vadapalani Police on Monday arrested three suspects who were under influence of alcohol for allegedly assaulting a 43-year-old man at a bar and causing death to him. 

According to police, the victim K.Paranthaman, 43 of Adam Nagar, Chromepet was having drinks at a Tasmac bar. Three persons who came there snatched the drinks from him and consumed them. Paranthaman had a quarrel with them and angered over this, the trio assaulted him using an iron spanner. Others rushed injured Paranthaman to Government Kilpauk Hospital and he succumbed to injuries on Sunday night. Based on a complaint, Vadapalani police arrested the trio- Vasanthraj, 39, Santhakumar, 37 of Kodambakkam and Vigneshwaran, 28, of Saligramam on charges of murder and remanded to judicial custody.
