A man died after falling from a building, which he was painting, while another person who fell alongside escaped with injuries. The mishap took place near the Naranathu temple at Eloor on Tuesday (July 29) around 1.10 p.m.
The deceased was identified as Niyas, 43, of Kappalandinukku in Mattancherry. Rabeeb, also from Mattancherry, was the one injured.
The accident occurred after the ladder they were standing on tumbled. Niyas sustained head injury from the fall. Though both were rushed to a nearby hospital, Niyas succumbed to his injuries.
