Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar on Tuesday invited the public to file objections, if any, to the draft notification regarding the formation of five corporations under the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) by August 18. He stated that the final notification would be issued on September 2.
Further, the Dy. CM announced that the delimitation and reservation of wards will be published on November 1. A new Delimitation Commission will be established to carry out the process, and the final notification will be issued after inviting objections, he added.
âThe Delimitation Committee will conduct the delimitation process on September 8 and issue the final notification on November 1,â he said.

On Tuesday, Mr. Shivakumar urged the public to file objections to the notification, stating, âAnyone, whether the public or opposition parties, can file objections, and we will consider all of them. The objections will be scrutinised, and if any changes are necessary, we will make them before issuing the final notification.â

The Dy. CM noted that once the delimitation and reservation processes are completed, an affidavit will be submitted to the court, and preparations for the corporation elections will begin.
