Special trains will be operated from Vasco-da-Gama to Velankanni and back to clear the extra rush of passengers in view of the Velankanni festival. The Vasco-da-Gama – Velankanni Express Special (07361) will leave Vasco-da-Gama at 9.55 p.m. on August 27, September 1, and 6 (Wednesday, Monday and Saturday) and reach Velankanni at 3.45 a.m. the third day – Friday, Wednesday and Monday – respectively.
In the return direction, the Velankanni-Vasco-da-Gama Express Special (07362) will leave Velankanni at 11.55 p.m. on August 29, September 3 and 8 — Friday, Wednesday and Monday and reach Vasco-da-Gama at 3 a.m. the third day — Sunday, Friday and Wednesday respectively.
The special trains will be operated with one AC First Class-cum-AC two tier coach, one AC two-tier coach, two AC three-tier coaches, 11 sleeper class coaches, four general second class coaches and two second class coaches (Divyangjan friendly).
The train will stop at Madgaon Junction, Sanverdam Church, Kulem, Castle Rock, Londa Junction, Dharwad, Hubbali Junction, Haveri, Davangere, Chikjajur, Birur Junction, Arsikere Junction, Tumakuru, SMVT Bengaluru, Krishnarajapuram, Bangarapet Junction, Morappur, Bommidi, Salem Junction, Namakkal, Karur Junction, Kulithalai, Tiruchi Junction, Thanjavur Junction, Needamangalam, Tiruvarur Junction, and Nagapattinam, a press release from the Tiruchi Railway Division said.

Meanwhile, another release said the Shri Ganganagar-Tiruchi-Shri Ganganagar Humsafar Express (22497/22498) will be temporarily augmented with one AC three-tier coach from Shri Ganganagar from August 4 to 25 and from Tiruchi from August 8 to 29. The revised composition after augmentation will be: 17 AC three-tier coaches, two luggage cum brake vans and one pantry car.
The Jodhpur-Tiruchi-Jodhpur Humsafar Express (20481/20482) will be temporarily augmented with one sleeper class coach from Jodhpur from August 6 to 27 and from Tiruchi from August 9 to 30. The revised composition after augmentation will be : 16 AC three-tier coaches, two sleeper class coaches and two luggage cum brake vans and one pantry car.
