‘Kavach’ training reviewed – The Hindu

Railway Board Member (Infrastructure) Naveen Gulati has reviewed the progress of training being imparted to railway officers, supervisors and industry personnel for upskilling their knowledge in connection with various signal and telecommunication activities as well as implementation of ‘Kavach’ – indigenous automatic train protection system, on Thursday.

He also addressed group of principle head of departments of signal & telecommunication of zonal railways undergoing training at IRISET and emphasised the need for faster roll out of ‘Kavach’. The RB member inspected the various training equipment installed at the Kavach Laboratory and other developments being undertaken by IRISET & Centre of Excellence.

A comprehensive review on various works being executed in the zone was also reviewed with SCR GM Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, IRISET director Sharad Kumar Srivastava, Railway Board Addl Member (Signal) Vijaylaxmi Kaushik, and principal executive director (S&T)/development Saurabh Bandopadhyaya, said a press release.
