The Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) has so far established 65 Export Facilitation Centres (EFCs) across the country to support the MSMEs in enhancing their export capabilities.

This was revealed in a written reply by Union Minister of State for MSMEs Shobha Karandlaje, in response to a question raised by MP Kesineni Sivanath (Chinni) in Parliament.

The Union Minister stated that these EFCs assist MSMEs by providing awareness about export schemes, conducting training programmes, and supporting documentation processes. The support had steadily grown over the years, with 2,865 MSMEs benefiting in 2022–23, 4,727 in 2023–24, and 3,630 in 2024–25.

In Andhra Pradesh alone, 50 MSMEs received support through the EFCs during 2024–25, Ms.  Karandlaje said, and highlighted that these centres frequently conducted training programmes and workshops to raise awareness and prepare MSMEs for international markets.

A total of 127 programmes were held in 2022–23, 186 in 2023–24, and 180 in 2024–25. One such training programme was held in Andhra Pradesh during 2024–25.

Notably, these centres operate without any special fund allocation, functioning instead through the existing field offices of the Ministry. While no separate statistics are maintained for export volumes, the Minister emphasised that the EFCs were significantly contributing to enhancing the competitiveness and capacity of the MSMEs in the export sector.
