Urban growth in Tamil Nadu is entering a decisive new phase, driven by a confluence of policy reforms, technological advancements, and a rising demand for sustainable, inclusive development. For the first time, The Hindu Group is set to organise The Hindu Tamil Nadu Real Estate Summit 2025 on August 5 at Rajendra Hall 4, 5 & 6, ITC Grand Chola, Chennai, from 10 a.m. The event is presented by Casagrand and co-presented by G Square.

The summit’s central narrative revolves around urban transformation: exploring themes such as smart cities, budget housing, green construction, real estate-fintech integrations, and investor outlook for Tamil Nadu. Shiv Das Meena, IAS (retd.), Chairperson, Tamil Nadu Real Estate Regulatory Authority (TNRERA), will deliver the keynote address, outlining the state’s vision and roadmap for regulated, inclusive, and future-ready urban development.

Speakers and panellists include Arun M.N., Founder, Chairman and Managing Director, Casagrand; W.S. Habib, President, CREDAI; and Julian Peter, Head of Value & Risk Advisory in India & City Capital Markets, Chennai JLL. Participants can ask questions to the panellists directly. There will be five panels and three fireside chats.

“We’re building faster than ever — but most of it feels hollow. The challenge isn’t just approvals or rising costs. It’s that we’ve reduced real estate to metrics — FSI, yield, delivery timelines — while ignoring how a space lives, breathes, or holds memory,”says Sripriya Ganesan, co-founder of Studio Neon Attic.

Attendees can look forward to a unique opportunity to network with leading developers, senior policymakers, and key investors from across the country. The event offers valuable insights from those at the forefront of shaping Tamil Nadu’s real estate vision, while also opening doors to strategic collaborations across infrastructure, smart technology, and housing. Moreover, the summit will showcase the latest innovations in sustainable and smart real estate development, making it an essential destination for anyone looking to engage with the future of urban growth in the state.
