Collector takes stock of public issues during pension distribution drive in Eluru

Eluru District Collector K. Vetri Selvi took stock of local civic issues during her visit to various neighbourhoods in Eluru city on Friday (August 1) as part of the pension distribution programme. Touring areas such as R.R. Pet and Gubbalavari Street, she interacted directly with residents and inquired about essential civic amenities.

She sought details on drinking water availability, drainage maintenance and the daily garbage collection by the municipal corporation. Responding to citizens’ concerns, she assured that the government is actively working to resolve public issues and improve living conditions in the city.

“Officials must work to address public grievances and improve basic services,” she emphasised during her inspection.

Municipal Commissioner A. Bhanu Pratap, Tahsildar Gayathri, and local public representatives Naidu Somu, Eetakota Srinivasa Rao and S. Durgaprasad accompanied the Collector during the visit.

The inspection aimed at strengthening the government’s commitment to citizen welfare and ensure that civic services reach every household effectively.
