Light rain was forecast in 17 districts of Telangana till 1.00 p.m. on Tuesday (August 5, 2025).

India Meteorological Department (IMD) in its nowcast issued around 11.00 a.m. on Tuesday (August 5, 2025), has predicted 17 districts in Telangana are likely to receive light rain in the next two to three hours. According to the nowcast valid till 1.00 p.m., the districts are Hyderabad; Rangareddy; Medchal Malkajgiri; Sangareddy; Bhadradri Kothagudem; Jagtial; Kamareddy; Mahabubabad; Medak; Mulugu; Nalgonda ; Nirmal; Nizamabad; Rajanna Sircilla; Siddipet; Vikarabad and Yadadri Bhuvanagiri.
In its bulletin issued on Monday (August 4, 2025), the IMD has stated that thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and gusty winds (30-40 kmph) are very likely occur at isolated places in all districts on Tuesday.
Various parts of the State received rain on Monday. According to Telangana Development Planning Society’s latest data, the 10 mandals which received highest rainfall were in Hyderabad, Rangareddy and Medchal Malkajgiri.
