A 42-year-old history-sheeter was hacked to death by a six-member gang in TP Chathiram near Aminjikarai on Wednesday. A case has been registered and search is on for the suspects.
Raj Kumar of Jothiammal Nagar in TP Chathiram was running a shamiana tent rental business.
According to the police, a gang of six bike-borne men arrived at Raj Kumar’s house with weapons. While one of them stood guard outside, the remaining five entered his house, and attacked him. When he tried to escape, the gang chased and murdered him. They then fled the scene. A police team rushed to the spot, and sent the body to a hospital for post-mortem.î ˆ.Â
