Choice filling of seats for Round 3 of the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counselling process was opened on Thursday. Candidates may choose their seats till 5 p.m. of August 9, a release stated.
At the end of disbursal of provisional allotment for upward students for Round 2, the total provisional allotment count for the round stood at 62,327, with 9,633 candidates belonging to the government school (7.5 per cent reservation) category.
Students who got provisional allotment through upward movement may join the respective colleges on or before August 18. The fees paid by them and the certificates submitted at the TNEA Facilitation Centres would be sent to their colleges.
For the third round of counselling, the ranking for the general category is from 1,37,711 to 2,39,299; while for the government school category, the ranking is from 18,922 to 46,848. The aggregate cut off is between 143 and 77.50, the release added.
