YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy trained his guns at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who made explosive claims of “voter chori” (vote theft), saying that Mr. Gandhi is  conspicuously silent on Andhra Pradesh affairs.

Speaking at a media interaction in Tadepalli, Mr. Jagan alleged that Mr. Gandhi is in “direct contact” with Telugu Desam party leader and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.

Mr. Jagan claimed that Congress leader Revanth Reddy and the party high command maintain close ties with Mr. Naidu. He further questioned why A.P. Congress in-charge Manikam Thakur has not made a single comment regarding Mr. Naidu’s actions and the State government.

Highlighting alleged irregularities, Mr. Jagan said, “Rahul Gandhi talks about issues in Karnataka and Maharashtra, but why not Andhra Pradesh? There have been numerous scams in Amaravati, including the construction of the capital itself, which is a massive scam. Even irregularities in PPAs (Power Purchase Agreements) are being ignored. By the time of the 2024 elections and vote counting, the votes reportedly increased by 12.5 percent, which amounts to 48 lakh votes. How is this possible? ”he questioned.
