HYDERABAD
Senior leader of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and former minister for SC Development Koppula Eshwar has accused the State government of getting GO 17 for handing over residential educational institutions to corporate companies.
Mr. Eshwar said here on Sunday that the GO would impact about 20,000 families, whose members are working in residential schools. He alleged that the government was badly neglecting the 253 best available schools in the State.
While the previous K. Chandrasekhar Rao government had increased seats by 17,000, a total of 26,000 students were being sent out of schools to get admission elsewhere since their bills were not being paid for the last two years by the government.
He stated that the death of several students of residential schools due to food poisoning and other reasons over the last 20 months had been diminishing the faith of parents in the system and impacting admissions.
