Senior physician appointed as international advisor

The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow has appointed R. Jayanthi, senior physician and academician, as an international advisor.

Dr. Jayanthi, who was formerly the Dean of Madras Medical College and Government Medical College, Omandurar Estate, has served over three decades in the Tamil Nadu medical service.

On receiving mail confirming her appointment to the post, Dr. Jayanthi said this role involves networking with members to strengthen partnerships and ultimately elevate healthcare standards between regions. The appointment aims to foster medical excellence through collaboration, focussing on setting high standards in medical education, professional training and promoting innovative healthcare practices, she said.
