The Department of Anatomy, Christian Medical College (CMC) is conducting a teaching programme for science students of higher secondary schools in Vellore between August 18-22 at its campus in Vellore on understanding the human body.

The Department of Anatomy at Christian Medical College (CMC) is conducting a teaching programme for science students of higher secondary schools in Vellore between August 18-22 at its campus in Vellore on understanding the human body.

According to a press release, the programme titled “CORPORA” provides a unique opportunity for students who study human biology to see for real the parts of the human body, and learn about important aspects related to health.

A carefully curated collection of over 100 preserved specimens, platinates, luminal casts, bones and models has been displayed with labels and explanatory write-ups in Tamil and English, tailored specifically to the higher secondary school students of biology stream.

Anatomy staff are available on site to clarify doubts and provide explanations. Health education on relevant topics like healthy diet and lifestyle, hazards of smoking, hygiene and organ donation is also a part of the program, the release said.
