The Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) on Thursday (August 21, 2025) morning cleared major encroachments in Jubilee Enclave, Madhapur, Serilingampally mandal of Rangareddy district.

The layout where the operation was carried out, spread across 22.2 acres with nearly 100 approved plots, and had four parks. Of these, two parks measuring about 8,500 square yards were encroached upon. Additionally, nearly 5,000 square yards of road space had been occupied. HYDRAA forces also demolished a temporary structure on 300 square yards of government land, where a hotel was being run.

In all, 16,000 square yards of land worth around ₹400 crore was restored. The layout, approved in 1995, was regularised by the government in 2006.

Residents of Jubilee Enclave had lodged a complaint through Prajavani programme alleging that the parks gifted to Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) as per layout regulations were encroached by one Jaihind Reddy. Acting on the complaint, HYDRAA officials inspected the site and confirmed the encroachments.

Immediately after clearance, boards were installed marking the land as protected, and fencing was erected around parks and government property. Officials confirmed that police cases are being registered against those involved in the illegal encroachments.
