Continuing its practice that began in 2017, the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) will be distributing clay Ganesh idols, free of cost, at designated spots in the city between August 24 and 26.
This year, the HMDA is making arrangements to distribute one lakh clay Ganesh idols, eight inches in height, at 34 locations, for an eco-friendly Ganesh Chathurthi.
Locations for distribution on August 24 alone include Aarogyasri, Silent Valley Hills, Jubilee Hills, Toops Restaurant, Jublilee Hills, Rythu Bazaar at Mehdipatnam, Tank Bund, and NTR Gardens. Besides, mobile distribution of idols will be taken up at gated communities and IT companies in locations such as Miyapur, Kukatpally, and Madhapur.
On August 24 and 25, the locations for distribution are Road No. 10, IAS Quarters, Banjara Hills, KBR Park Main Entrance, Jubilee Hills, near Pulla Reddy Sweets, Greenlands, Begumpet, Yellamma Temple, Balkampet, Peddamma Temple, Jubilee Hills, Priyadarshini Park, Saroornagar, KundanBagh, IAS colony, near Life Style, Begumpet, Vayupuri Recreation Centre, and InduAranya, Nagole.
On August 25 and 26, idols will be distributed at Rajeev Gandhi Park, Vanasthalipuram, Durgam Cheruvu Park’s entrance gate, Melkote Park, Narayanaguda, Vedik Dharama Prakash School, Shah Ali Banda, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Sainikpuri, Mindspace Junction, Madhapur, Near My Home Navadweepa, Madhapur, and Tarnaka Commercial Complex.
The Hyderabad Growth Corridor Limited at Nanakramguda will host the distribution on August 25. On August 26, distribution will take place at Ganesh Temple, Secunderabad, and Safilguda Park, besides mobile distribution at various locations, a press note from HMDA informed.
