The National Industrial Security Academy (NISA), CISF, Hakimpet, hosted the Passing Out Parade of the second batch of Assistant Sub-Inspectors, marking the completion of training for 700 subordinate officers, including 74 women. The officers are now set to take up operational responsibilities in the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).

Sudhir Kumar, Additional Director General (North), CISF, who reviewed the parade as Chief Guest, praised the dedication of the officers and urged them to uphold integrity, discipline and service in the discharge of their duties. Senior CISF officials, civil and police dignitaries, faculty, stakeholders and family members of the trainees were present.

NISA Director D. P. Parihar presented the course report, noting that the batch, selected through the Limited Departmental Competitive Examination, had undergone training in industrial and aviation security, disaster management, VIP security, leadership and soft skills, along with tactical modules in urban operations, jungle warfare and modern weapon handling.

Awards were presented to outstanding performers, with Assistant Sub-Inspector Abhishek Kumar Tiwari winning three honours, All-Round Best, Best in Outdoor Training and Best in Firing, while Assistant Sub-Inspector Anshu Kumari was adjudged Best in Indoor Training.

NISA has been recognised nationally for its training excellence, including the Union Home Minister’s Trophy for Best Training Institute in 2017–18 and 2020–21, and accreditation as a “UTKRISHT” institution in 2024.

On the sidelines, CISF also announced the launch of a pilot specialised training course for private security personnel deployed at ports. The Port Facility Security Course, rolled out at Mumbai and Chennai, aims to strengthen India’s hybrid port security model by standardising protocols and aligning with international maritime codes.

CISF Additional Director General (South) P. S. Ranpise said the initiative would “enhance the capacity of private security personnel and bring uniformity in security protocols.” The programme comes at a time when Indian ports have been on elevated alert in view of global maritime security concerns.
