Shahan Ali Mohsin wins first race in second round of IRL

Shahan Ali Moshin drove a flawless race from pole position to comfortably clinch the first race in the second round of the Indian Racing League in Chennai at the Madras International Circuit on Saturday (August 23, 2025).

The Speed Demons Delhi driver took the chequered flag seven seconds ahead of Aqil Alibhai (Chennai Turbo Riders). Alister Yoong (Speed Demons Delhi) finished third after a race-long battle with Alibhai. Yoong snatched second from Alibhai at the start and kept the latter at bay for the whole race.

However, Alibhai made a desperate lunge on the final lap and reclaimed second place. Although Yoong would have preferred to hold on for a Speed Demons Delhi 1–2, his dogged defence ensured Mohsin could cruise to victory

In the Indian F4 championship, French racer Sachel Rotge cruised to victory ahead of Ghazi Motlekar and Annabel Kennedy.
