Ramlilas are not merely religious events, but a source of inspiration for living a meaningful life, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said on Sunday after laying foundation stones for two Ramlilas in her constituency, Shalimar Bagh.
She said that the establishment of Ram Rajya signifies governance that is just, transparent, and centred on the welfare of the people.
“To achieve this, it becomes necessary to confront destructive forces. Lord Ram has entrusted me with the responsibility of leading Delhi on the path of Ram Rajya,” Ms. Gupta said.
Meanwhile, Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva said that Ramlila committees and Durga Puja samitis are preserving our “cultural heritage” and “instilling values” among the new generation after taking part in the bhoomi pujan (ground-breaking ceremony) of a Ramlila committee, the Nav Shri Dharmik Leela committee at the Red Fort Parade Ground.
“We will ensure that all Durga Puja Samitis receive all necessary administrative support on time,” he said.
