Speaking at a gathering after performing Ganesh Puja at the party’s state office, Telangana BJP President N. Ramchander Rao said he prayed for a bright future for the people of Telangana and also “for wisdom to be granted to the government to address students’ problems first.”

He criticised Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s recent visit to Osmania University, stating that it failed to yield any concrete solutions. “Students were expecting major announcements, but the Chief Minister only made promises and scheduled another meeting in December,” Mr. Rao said.

Taking aim at the Congress government’s handling of the education sector, Mr. Rao alleged that research activities in universities have been severely impacted due to the failure to recruit professors and other teaching staff. He also pointed out that fee reimbursement arrears amounting to thousands of crores are still pending, forcing many poor students to drop out as they are unable to obtain their certificates.

On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, which is being celebrated with great fervour across the state, Mr. Rao extended warm wishes to the people of Telangana. Senior leaders present at the event included Abhay Patil, MP Konda Visweswar Reddy, MLAs Rakesh Reddy and Venkataramana Reddy, Andhra Pradesh MLA Parthasarathi, MLCs Anjireddy and Malka Komurayya, BJP Tamil Nadu and Karnataka in-charge Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy, organisational general secretary Chandrasekhar Tiwari, and general secretaries Gujjula Premender Reddy, Dugyala Pradeep Kumar, and Kasam Venkateswarlu, according to a press release
