‘Akhanda 2’: Nandamuri Balakrishna starring anticipated sequel postponed

Akhanda 2, starring Nandamuri Balakrishna, has been postponed. The film is a much-hyped sequel to the 2021 blockbuster, directed by Boyapati Srinu.

Akhanda 2 was supposed to hit the screens on September 25, 2025. The movie also stars Samyuktha and Harshaali Malhotra.

The makers announced with a statement that “they have moved the released date as the team is working tirelessly working around the clock to deliver Akhanda 2 on a truly unprecedented scale.”

“For a film of this scale, the re-recording, VFX, and the entire post-production process demands meticulous attention, and therefore require additional time to present the film at its absolute best, considering the weight of expectations Akhanda 2 carries,” said the makers.

Akhanda 2 will not just be a film. It will be a festival of cinema. We are fully committed to exceeding all the expectations and giving audiences a theatrical experiences worth the wait,” they added.

With music from Thaman S, Akhanda also starred Jagapathi Babu, Srikanth and Pragya Jaiswal. The movie crossed over ₹150 crore at the box office. Akhanda 2 is produced by Balakrishna’s daughter Tejaswini and 14 Plus Reels.
