A five-year-old boy died after suffering an electric shock from a decorative bulb fixed on the veranda grill of his house at Kolari, Kumbhamoola, in Mattannur on Thursday night (August 28, 2025).
The deceased is identified as C. Muhiudheen, son of Uzman Madani and Ayesha of Al Mubarak House. The incident occurred around 8 p.m.
Though he was rushed to the Koothuparamba Taluk Hospital, doctors declared him brought dead. His body has been shifted to the Thalassery General Hospital mortuary.
Muhiudheen was a student of Majlis Preschool in Uli. A funeral will be held on Friday afternoon.
