BJP Tamil Nadu president Nainar Nagenthran on Saturday questioned the DMK government over the investments coming into the State.
In a post on X, he said that while Chief Minister M.K. Stalin’s foreign trips in a bid to attract investments were welcome, the DMK government had not released a white paper on how much investment had been attracted through such trips undertaken since the DMK came to power in 2021.
Mr. Nagenthran alleged that the Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) signed during Mr. Stalin’s previous trips to Dubai, Singapore, and Japan had just remained on paper, while only one firm had started construction out of the 19 pacts signed during his visit to Spain.
“Without focusing on rectifying the flaws, what is the use of wasting taxpayers money by going on foreign trips in the name of attracting investments? It is empty advertisement,” Mr. Nagenthran added.
