Four held with suspected MDMA in two incidents

The Kochi City police arrested four people and seized over 30 grams of suspected MDMA from them in two separate incidents, the police said in a release.

The District Anti-Narcotics Special Action Force (DANSAF) nabbed Shahanas V.P., 28, of Vellappilli, Palakkad, and Sindhu, 28, of Safdar Hashmi lane, Ernakulam, from a hotel room near Woodlands Junction and seized 15.63 grams of suspected MDMA from them.

In another incident, 14.5 grams of suspected MDMA was seized from Nasif P. N., 30, of Chakkamadom, Mattanchery, and Mustafa Mukbin, 28, of Kochangadi, Thoppumpady.

The raids were conducted by DANSAF as part of an intensive drive to curb a potential influx of narcotic substances into the city during Onam, the police said.
