Hundreds of full episodes of ‘Sesame Street’ are set to come to YouTube next year, according to an announcement from the Google-owned platform and the company behind the iconic children’s TV show.
The rollout is set to begin from January next year.
YouTube said that in the past year, Sesame Street’s YouTube channels garnered more than 5 billion views, representing an increase of 130% year over year. The partnership means that YouTube will have the largest digital library of Sesame Street content from next year.

Furthermore, the nonprofit that backs Sesame Street, Sesame Workshop, will lead workshops with YouTube creators to help them better create content that is both entertaining and informative.
“On YouTube and YouTube Kids, fan favorites like Sesame Street live right alongside Ms. Rachel, Doggyland and Gabby’s Dollhouse, giving families a single destination for all the content they love. We are excited to bring these stories to families around the world,” said a YouTube executive in a company blog post.
YouTube also confirmed that young fans of Elmo, Big Bird, Cookie Monster, and all their other favourite muppets can continue to access specially curated Sesame Street content that was made for YouTube.
“The Sesame Street library is coming to YouTube! Beginning in January 2026, YouTube will have the largest digital library of Sesame Street content, with hundreds of full episodes coming to the Sesame Street channels. Join us as we help children everywhere grow smarter, stronger, and kinder, one episode at a time,” announced the Sesame Street account on X on September 4.
