Minister for Human Resource Development (HRD) Nara Lokesh on Friday (September 5, 2025) slammed the YSR Congress Party for portraying teachers in a most demeaning manner, hurting their morale. “Teachers deserve respect as they work with utmost responsibility and shape students as future citizens. I strongly condemn such action of the YSRCP,” he posted on X.

The Minister also appealed to teachers to understand and appropriately respond to the false propaganda being spread through fake handles by the YSRCP.

Citing an example, he said through one such fake handle, the YSR Congress Party shared a photo showing teachers in Andhra Pradesh as if they were lying drunk under benches, with utterly disgusting commentary. He said in reality that photo surfaced in some neighbouring State under some unrelated circumstance.

“Presenting it as if it happened in Andhra Pradesh and making such derogatory remarks is an unpardonable crime,” he said, adding that the YSRCP had done such misdeeds many times in the past also. “By behaving in such a vile manner towards teachers, who are responsible for imparting education, the YSRCP has stooped to yet another low in its unethical actions,” said the Minister.
