Hashish oil seized by Indian Coast Guard in coordination with Central Intelligence Unit from a fishing boat off Pamban on Thursday night.

In a swift operation, Indian Coast Guard in coordination with Central Intelligence Unit seized ₹9-crore worth hashish oil from a fishing boat off Pamban in the intervening night of December 18 and 19.
According to a source, the ICG personnel from Mandapam Station along with officials of CIU, Tiruchi, successfully foiled the illegal drug trafficking attempt and the Indian fishing boat was apprehended with 9.50 kg of hashish oil.
Further investigation is under way.
