As many as 4.81 crore cases are pending in courts across the country, said Justice M.M. Sundresh, Judge, Supreme Court of India, here on April26, 2026, (Sunday).
Justice Sundresh and Chief Justice of Madras High Court Sushrut Arvind Dharmadhikari inaugurated two multi-storeyed court buildings within the combined court building campus in Salem on the day, in the presence of Madras High Court Judges R. Sureshkumar, G. Jayachandran, G.K. Ilanthiraiyan and C. Kumarappan.
