T. Suman Thyagaraj, Chairman of the South-East India Region of the Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA) and Secretary and Correspondent of St. John’s Educational Institutions and Shamrock International School in Vijayawada, has been elected national vice-president of the National Council of YMCAs of India for the 2026–2029 term.

His election is seen as recognition of his dedicated service, strong leadership and long-standing association with the YMCA movement, as well as his contributions to the field of education. Mr. Thyagaraj has played a key role in promoting community welfare activities, youth development initiatives and the improvement of educational standards.
