All the taluk courts and the district court in Mysuru will take up a 90-day campaign to settle pending cases through mediation from January 2, 2026, as per the directions issued by National Legal Services Authority, New Delhi, and Karnataka State Legal Services Authority, Bengaluru.
A press statement issued here by the Mysuru District Legal Services Authority described the national campaign as a “golden opportunity” for the public to obtain speedy relief in cases pending before the courts.
Through this campaign, appropriate guidance will be provided to both parties to arrive at a mutual settlement in compoundable criminal cases, Motor Accident Claims Tribunal cases, bank recovery cases, labour disputes, claims relating to wages of industrial workers, land acquisition cases, cheque dishonour cases, compoundable civil cases, and matrimonial/family court cases (excluding divorce cases), the statement read.
As the cases will be resolved with the consent of both parties, relationships will be preserved and disputes will be amicably resolved. Compromise will be effected only if the solution suggested by the mediator is acceptable to both sides. “This campaign offers a special opportunity for quick resolution at minimal cost,” the statement added.
