A 58-year-old security guard working on the premises of local JD(S) leader Andanappa allegedly died by suicide in Laggere under the Rajagopalnagar Police Station limits on Thursday morning.
The deceased was identified as Nagaraju, son of Ramachandrappa and a native of Chickpet in Bengaluru. He had been residing on Laggere Main Road for around 25 years and was working as a security guard.
According to the police, Nagaraju’s body was found by Sridhara, son of Andanappa, and Pradeep, a school bus driver.
Nagaraju had been married three times. His first wife has two daughters, his second wife has no children, while his third wife has two children.
The police said Nagaraju had been living separately from his family for around 30 years.
The reason for the alleged suicide was not immediately known. The Rajagopalnagar police visited the spot and conducted an inspection. Further investigation is under way.
